Automatic AOC Upgrades on Merge

When you delete one of your companies and transfer its assets to another, the system automatically handles the fleet's legal requirements.

If the incoming fleet includes aircraft that are heavier than the receiving company's current Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) allows, the receiving company's AOC will be automatically upgraded.

For example, if you merge a company that owns a 777 into your new company that only has a Small AOC, the new company will be instantly upgraded to a Large AOC. The standard upgrade fee will be charged to the receiving company as part of the transfer, ensuring your new, larger fleet is immediately compliant.

Other improvements

  • Fixed an error that prevented departure slots from being correctly reserved when you accepted a route job that required a relocation flight. The slot will now be properly reserved for you and then automatically occupied when you board at the route's origin airport.
  • You can now log in using your email address with any capitalization (e.g., MyEmail@domain.com or myemail@domain.com will both work).
  • Fixed an issue that prevented using pushback on the second or subsequent legs of a multi-leg journey. You can now push back at the start of every flight.
  • The job status timeline now correctly displays its layout when a relocation leg is involved.
  • Corrected a bug where the boarding priority view was sometimes hidden incorrectly.
  • Fixed a potential error that could occur when loading an aircraft's details or live position on the map.

We’ve rolled out a fundamental overhaul to the FSCharter economy, moving away from static prices to a dynamic system based on airport market value.

You’ll now find that the cost to purchase buildings (like hangars and service centres), establish operations centres, and sign new agreements (for slots and stands) is calculated dynamically.

This new pricing model means that operations at high-value airports in busy regions will be more expensive, while smaller, remote airports will be more affordable. This change also applies to all operational airport fees: landing, ATC, parking, passenger facility, and customs/immigration fees are now all based on the airport's market value.

Pro-tip: Due to this re-balance, many existing agreements (slots and stands) may now be cheaper. You may want to cancel your current agreements and sign new ones at the updated, lower prices.

We've updated the logic that determines which aircraft are eligible to fly charter jobs. This change moves away from a complex set of aircraft category restrictions (like SEP, MEP, or BIZ) to a simpler, more consistent rule based on passenger capacity.

From now on, only aircraft with a maximum passenger capacity of 19 seats or fewer can be used for charter jobs.

This capacity limit only applies to charter jobs. Your scheduled route jobs and ferry flights are not affected by this change and can continue to use aircraft of any size.

We've replaced the old, complex pricing for charter legs. The old legacy model was used when routing passengers in a Dispatch Plan and calculated a base fare on airport type and then blended it with passenger class and distance. It also used a complicated 'directional clamping' system that adjusted the price based on your proximity to the start or end of the overall journey.

While the breakdown for this was visible in the UI, the logic was often confusing and could lead to unpredictable payouts, especially on multi-leg flights.

This has been replaced with a new proportional contribution model that uses the same calculations under the hood as Routes. This makes charter pricing simpler, more transparent, and fairer, especially for multi-leg charters.

From now on, each leg of a charter is priced based on its contribution to the journey's progress. If a leg covers 30% of the progress toward the final destination, it will be allocated 30% of the remaining budget. The final leg of any charter automatically receives 100% of the budget that's left, ensuring the full job value is always paid out, and incentivises last-leg charter. If the passenger has managed to get most of the way on cheap routes, this effectively acts as a last-leg bonus for any charter company as they will be paid the remainder of the budget for that passenger, regardless of how far they flew them.

You can see this new pricing in action when planning your dispatch plans. In the 'Configure Legs' view, each stopover will now display its estimated price and its progress contribution.

We've also added a new pricing breakdown popover. This shows you exactly how the price was calculated, including the budget at the start of the leg, the proportion being allocated, and the remaining budget.

This new model also includes a 'fairness cap'. This prevents you from 'losing' pay on a later leg by re-routing an earlier leg. For example, if you re-route leg 1 to get much closer to the destination, it won't 'steal' the contribution (and pay) from leg 2.

Finally, the total calculated price for each leg of your job is now visible in the Job Information dialog, giving you a clear overview of your earnings per flight.

Other improvements

  • Fixed a bug that would show "Unable to get quote" error when trying to purchase buildings or sign agreements.
  • Fixed an issue where some legs were missing from the Job Information dialog.
  • Corrected revenue potential calculations in the Job Information dialog.
  • Reordered the columns in the Company Finance log to show 'Category' earlier.

Reworked Contract Preview

We've redesigned the contract preview dialog to give you a much clearer picture of a company's operations before you sign.

Instead of just showing a limited list of jobs you could fly right now, the new preview shows you everything the company has to offer.

The biggest change is how you preview a company's work. We've split this into two new tabs:

  • Routes: This tab lists all of the company's enabled routes. You can see the origin, destination, distance, and current passenger demand. We've also added stats so you can see how many times a route has been flown and when it was last active.
  • Charter Jobs: This tab shows all real charter jobs the company has posted on its marketplace. You can see the route, distance, passenger count, and how long the job has been waiting.

This new approach helps you make better decisions by evaluating the company's total activity, not just what's available at this exact moment.

Advanced Aircraft Filtering

The "Available Aircraft" tab now includes advanced filtering and sorting. You can filter the full list of aircraft for that rank by manufacturer, type, seats, cargo capacity, and more, so you know exactly what hardware you're getting access to.

Better Contract Marketplace Filtering

To help you find active contracts, the marketplace list now defaults to filtering for "Has Jobs" and "Has Aircraft".

This means you'll automatically see contracts from companies that have at least one enabled route, one released charter job, or one aircraft assigned to a rank. You can still toggle these filters off if you want to see all available contracts.

Expandable Dialogs

You can now expand most dialog windows (including the new contract preview) to fill your screen. Just click the new "expand" icon in the top-right corner to get a bigger view, which is especially useful for digging into the new preview tabs or managing large lists.

Other improvements

  • Fixed a UI issue that could cause dropdown menus and data lists to fail to load correctly on the first try.

We've made the platform more robust by introducing new safeguards against accidental duplicate actions. This helps prevent issues like unintentionally chartering a flight twice or submitting the same form multiple times if you double-click.

This behind-the-scenes improvement ensures that your requests are processed cleanly and only once, making for a smoother and more reliable experience, especially during periods of high server load or with a slow connection. Your actions are now better protected from unintended errors.

Other improvements

  • Fixed an issue where creating new routes would sometimes fail because airport slot access was being checked incorrectly.
  • Job listings now correctly respect all rank constraints, so you will no longer see jobs that you are not yet qualified for.
  • Resolved a bug that could cause passengers and cargo to be counted as disembarked twice in flight reports.
  • Fixed an issue where new buildings and agreements could not get quotes.
  • New agreement costs have been halved until dynamic slot pricing is introduced shortly.

Passenger Services

To better reflect their role in the game, we've renamed the FBO (Fixed-Base Operator) building type to Passenger Services.

This is purely a name change to provide more clarity. All of your existing FBOs have been automatically renamed, and their functionality—extending your route network and enabling final-leg charters—remains exactly the same. You'll see this new name reflected across the platform, from the building purchase screen to your airport management panels.

Fairer Agreement Cancellations

We've fixed an issue that made it difficult to cancel agreements with an upfront payment. Previously, the system didn't count your initial payment towards the minimum term requirement.

Now, upfront payments correctly count as the first paid cycle. This means you can cancel these agreements as soon as the minimum term is met, without having to wait for an extra billing cycle to complete. We've also added a new badge to your finance screen to make it clear which recurring payments are charged upfront.

Other improvements

  • The Job Marketplace map now shows a loading indicator and will only display jobs once it's fully ready, preventing visual glitches on slower connections.
  • Clarified the wording in notifications for aircraft that cannot find available storage space after completing a job.

We've tweaked how aircraft slot grace periods are displayed and made it easier to recover your aircraft, ensuring you're never locked out of accessing your own assets.

A Clearer View of Grace Periods

Previously, it was difficult to tell when an aircraft's grace period in a slot was about to end or what happened after it expired. We've introduced a new set of clear, color-coded badges to give you at-a-glance status information.

When an aircraft is on an active grace period, you'll see an orange badge with a countdown timer. This shows you exactly how long you have until the aircraft is automatically moved to storage.

If the grace period ends and there's no available hangar or stand space, the aircraft will remain in the slot. This is now indicated by a red badge, letting you know that the slot is blocked because there was nowhere for the aircraft to go. This helps you quickly identify and resolve storage conflicts at your airports.

Recover Your Aircraft from Anywhere

Losing access to a partner's facilities no longer means losing access to your aircraft. If a partnership ends or facility access changes while your aircraft is parked in a location you can no longer use, you can now always open the agreement panel to retrieve it.

This ensures you can always manage and move your assets, even if they are located in a hangar or stand that has become restricted. You will have just enough access to view the facility and remove your aircraft, guaranteeing you never get locked out.

Other improvements

  • Aircraft slots can no longer be shared publicly; access is now restricted to either your own company or members of a partnership. This provides greater control over your facilities and ensures a more accurate count of available slots.
  • When access rules for a partnership change, aircraft using a partner's facilities are now automatically and correctly removed to prevent them from getting stuck.

Job Market Performance Overhaul

We’ve completely overhauled the underlying query system for the job market, making it significantly faster to find and filter flights.

Previously, if you had contracts with multiple companies, the job search could become slow as the system checked every possible flight against your pilot constraints. We've rebuilt this logic from the ground up to be far more efficient. The system now intelligently filters jobs based on the companies you can fly for before evaluating complex aircraft and route constraints, dramatically reducing the processing load.

You'll notice the biggest improvements when searching broad areas or when you hold many active pilot contracts. The job list and map view now populate much more quickly, getting you in the air faster.

More Reliable Live Flight Map

We've resolved an issue that could sometimes cause the Live Flight Map to appear empty when you first opened it.

This was caused by a race condition where the map would occasionally try to draw aircraft before their data had been fully loaded. The map now waits for all data to be ready and displays a clear loading indicator, ensuring you always see a complete picture of active flights.

Other improvements

  • Fixed a bug that could incorrectly schedule major, restricted maintenance services (like C and D checks) to run automatically, causing the whole automatic maintenance job to fail. These services will now always require manual sign-off.
  • Owner salary payments in your transaction history now include the company name, making them easier to identify if you own multiple companies.
  • Improved the visual styling of partnership badges in the job list for better readability.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent owner salary payments from being processed correctly at the end of the month.

We've completely overhauled how aircraft are handled on the ground, making maintenance and storage seamless and automatic. You can now focus more on your operations and less on shuffling assets around the airport.

Previously, moving an aircraft into a service centre required you to first manually take it out of its hangar or stand. When the service was complete, you then had to remember to go back and store it again. This is now a thing of the past.

You can now send an aircraft for maintenance or modification directly from its current location, whether that's a hangar or a stand. We'll handle the logistics of moving it to the service centre for you.

The biggest improvement comes when the work is done. Once your aircraft's service is complete, it won't just be left on the tarmac. The system will automatically find an available hangar or stand you have access to at that airport and move the aircraft there, ready for its next flight. If no space is available, you'll be notified so you can make arrangements.

All new agreements, such as airport slots and stands, are now billed upfront. This means the first payment is taken as soon as you sign the agreement, securing your access for the upcoming period from day one.

Previously, all recurring payments were charged at the end of a billing cycle. Now, you pay for services like slots at the beginning of each cycle. This provides more predictable cash flow, as the cost is covered immediately rather than being a future liability. The payment will appear in your finance log right after you sign the agreement, clearly marked under the new "Agreement" category.

Other improvements

  • Improved the layout of the company finance log for better readability.
  • Fixed an issue where the minimum term for an agreement was not always correctly enforced.
